Dumpster diving was one of the exciting things to do as a Fargo/Moorhead college student in winter. Three of my friends and I went out searching for treasures.

The quick, gestural strokes and vibrant colors of this painting are indicative of my work before studying in Italy. I also gravitated towards subtly narrative paintings of friends and acquaintances.
