I spotted this tourist couple in Piazza della Signoria in Florence, Italy. It was while studying in Italy that I first learned about classical painting techniques such as glazing and chiaroscuro underpainting. This blue and white image of a couple standing in the rain was initially meant to be the underpainting for a full color piece but I liked the way the underpainting turned out so much I just kept it the way it was.
